BRAHMS – BRITTEN - BEATLES

FEUERBACH STRING QUARTETT  SPECIAL!

"The Redefinition of Chamber Music"

Four musicians from four nations who love to make music together.

Founded in 2013, the FEUERBACH QUARTETT has today become almost synonymous with innovative adaptations of sophisticated, modern rock and pop music for classical string quartet.

What began as an idea is now a true sensation on the concert stages of Europe, with more than 100 engagements annually. There are no barriers, whether in the classical concert hall, at a pop open-air, at an industrial gala, or in a small socio-cultural center...

The FEUERBACH QUARTETT has now put together a concert program that creates a symbiosis of truly timeless music: The proven chamber music tradition of Johannes Brahms, represented by his 1st String Quartet, the rarely heard “Simple Symphony” by Benjamin Britten, born in 1913, as well as his most prominent contemporaries: The Beatles, whose music must now undoubtedly be called classical.

"With cheeky pizzicatos, as refined as intelligent arrangements, and incredible joy of playing, the quartet manages to give the songs its own, unmistakable sound."
Crescendo

Max studied classical violin, jazz, and composition in Nuremberg, Hanover, Warsaw, and Amsterdam. His compositions have been performed by the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, and in numerous film and theatre productions. He teaches at the Academy for Theatre and Dance Amsterdam, the University of Music, Theatre and Media Hanover, and the Weikersheim Music Academy, and is part of the Music Swap Lab of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, which received the OPUS KLASSIK Award in 2021.

While still in school, he received instruction at the University of Music in Würzburg and later studied in Nuremberg with Prof. Hans Kohlhase and Prof. Andreas Willwohl, earning numerous scholarships and awards.

As a soloist and orchestral musician (including the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra), he has performed across Europe as well as in China, Russia, and Mexico. He teaches at various music schools in Bavaria.
