Rarely has the relationship between America and Europe been as tangled as it is today. Yet amid headlines, tariffs, and hysteria, one thing remains unbroken: the magic of music.
Antonín Dvořák’s American Quartet, Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, the world premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances arranged for string quartet — and musical milestones by the great Michael Jackson, from Thriller to Billie Jean. A love letter to transatlantic music-making, from Romanticism to Broadway!
When the Bohemian composer Antonín Dvořák once moved to the New World to teach Americans how to compose, no one could have imagined that a few generations later, music from that very land would dominate the European market.
Forty-five years after Dvořák’s American Quartet, the American Samuel Barber composed his epic Adagio for Strings — a work whose melancholy and drama made it the very embodiment of American Romanticism, which, though it had developed its own voice, never abandoned its European roots. Leonard Bernstein, too, employed Beethoven’s compositional tools when he merged classical music with blues and Latin American rhythms in his Symphonic Dances.
The FEUERBACH QUARTETT has now arranged this work for string quartet for the first time — proving impressively that a violin alone can produce an astonishing rhythmic drive. And when that’s not enough, the ensemble isn’t afraid to reach for a glockenspiel, rattle, or ankle bells.
Another generation later came Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the album that forever changed the musical world. With sophisticated arrangements and an uninhibited, witty, and exuberant performance style, the FEUERBACH QUARTETT lets Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, and Beat It blend seamlessly with Dvořák, Barber, and Bernstein — creating a concert experience where wonder, euphoria, and emotion are guaranteed.

Four musicians from four nations who, with breathtaking passion and uninhibited energy — and without sheet music — unite Beethoven, the Beatles, and Dire Straits in a classical string quartet, redefining the very meaning of “chamber music.”
On stage, they clap, whistle, and dance — and the audience joins in. No other ensemble manages to transmit its sheer joy in music so directly to its listeners. The Musicians
Jamila Musayeva, Violin I
Born in 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Jamila Musayeva began violin lessons at age six and soon embarked on an international career. A laureate of numerous competitions (including “Shabyt Inspiration” in Astana, Kazakhstan, and the “International Rotary Competition” in Prague), she has performed throughout Asia and Europe. At twelve, she received a presidential scholarship and was listed in the Golden Book of Young Talents. At sixteen, she was named “Best Violinist of the Year.”
Jamila studied with Prof. Daniel Gaede at the Nuremberg University of Music and with Prof. Christoph Schickedanz at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg. Since 2015, she has been a member of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and joined the FEUERBACH QUARTETT in 2016.
Max Eisinger, Violin II
Born in 1993 in Munich, Max Eisinger began playing violin at age five. As part of a German-Israeli family, he discovered his love of improvisation through Klezmer, which eventually led him to jazz. At eleven, he debuted at the Munich Philharmonic Hall, followed by concert tours across Europe as a soloist, orchestral, and jazz musician.
Max studied classical violin, jazz, and composition in Nuremberg, Hanover, Warsaw, and Amsterdam. His compositions have been performed by the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, and in numerous film and theatre productions. He teaches at the Academy for Theatre and Dance Amsterdam, the University of Music, Theatre and Media Hanover, and the Weikersheim Music Academy, and is part of the Music Swap Lab of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, which received the OPUS KLASSIK Award in 2021.
Eugen Hubert, Viola
Born in Russia in 1986 into a family of musicians, Eugen Hubert studied violin with his father and piano with his mother before choosing a professional path as a violist. While still in school, he received instruction at the University of Music in Würzburg and later studied in Nuremberg with Prof. Hans Kohlhase and Prof. Andreas Willwohl, earning numerous scholarships and awards.
As a soloist and orchestral musician (including the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra), he has performed across Europe as well as in China, Russia, and Mexico. He teaches at various music schools in Bavaria.
Lukas Kroczek, Cello
Born in Poland in 1987 to musician parents, Lukas Kroczek began cello lessons at age five. At fifteen, he became a junior student at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich, later continuing his studies at the Nuremberg University of Music under Prof. Siegmund von Hausegger.
He is a multiple prizewinner of the Mozart Association Chamber Music Competition and Jugend Musiziert, where he now serves as juror and teacher. Lukas has performed with the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. In addition to the FEUERBACH QUARTETT, he plays in various chamber and jazz ensembles across Bavaria and teaches at music schools in Nuremberg and Lauf.
